Cerulean Servant is an 18+, free, digital-only fanzine that celebrates not only our Holy Devoted Servant, Legato Bluesummers, but also the fandom itself!Unlike most fanzine projects, there will be no contributor applications. Cerulean Servant welcomes submissions from all 18+ fans wishing to participate, be that in written fanfiction, poetry, page and spot art, comics, cosplay, filk music, podfics, digital merch, physical merch photography, crafts photography, or any other means of celebrating Legato Bluesummers that can be included in a digital format.This project is anti-harassment and anti-censorship.Similar to Maker's Dozen: A Vash Fanzine, there will be three (3) individual zines: SFW, NSFW, & Problematic.

What is a Fanzine?
A Fanzine, or Zine (pronounced ZEEN), is a fan-made & produced magazine, usually centered around a specific theme, character, or media. Our zine’s focus is Legato Bluesummers of Trigun.
What kind of project is this?
This is a pro-ship, pro-fic, 18+ Legato Bluesummers fanzine. Any and all forms of Legato are acceptable, ranging from the '98 anime, Trigun/Trigun Maximum, and the 2023 Trigun Stampede.
Is this Zine SFW, NSFW, or Problematic?
Everything! Our zine will have 3 different books (as separate files) categorizing SFW, NSFW, and Problematic themes.
Are minors allowed since there will be an SFW book?
No. Regardless of whether there is an SFW version, the general server on which we will be working will include NSFW and problematic content. Minors are excluded from this project for everyone's comfort and safety.
Will this zine be for profit?
Nope! This zine will be a free, digital-only project.
Who are the mods?
We have several wonderful mods helping out with this project! You can find them HERE.
How will contributor applications be handled?
There are no applications! This is an inclusive project where any fan over the age of 18 can participate. All guidelines and requirements for the project can be found HERE.
Can we submit more than one work?
Some roles may already require more than one work (i.e. Spot Artists & Digital Merch Artists).All other roles may also submit more than one work provided that they complete their minimum requirement by the end of the creation period.
Can we participate in the zine under multiple roles?
Yes. You can sign up for a maximum of 2 separate roles.
(i.e. Writer & Spot Artist, Page Artist & Cosplayer, Page Artist & Digital Merch Artist)If you wish to pitch as a Cover Artist, you will be required to sign up for a backup role.If you are selected as a Cover Artist, that will be your expected submission to the zine.
Will "problematic" ships be exclusively in the Problematic Zine?
No. Due to the representation of characters in the Trigun fandom, most ships could be considered problematic due to the following:
age difference (i.e Vash or Knives being up to 150 years old)
interspecies (i.e. Plant x Human)
incestuous / pseudo-incestuous (i.e. Vash x Knives, Nico x Livio)
forced age-progression of underage individuals (i.e. Nico, Livio, etc)
For this reason, ships will NOT dictate whether a work is categorized as SFW, NSFW, or Problematic. All ships will be allowed in all three zines.Each zine's Table of Contents will include ship and tags.
Your guidelines mention allowing Podfic and Filk Music. What is Filk??
Filk is a "musical culture, genre, and community tied to science fiction/fantasy fandom ... It's commonly described casually as "science-fiction folk music" ... but that falls short of the full range of music that's considered filk.
